About BerieWede and Patricia Oakley |

|
The name "BerieWede" combines two old english words for "berry" and "clothing" and was originally the name of Patricia's custom-built home on Vashon Island in Washington State. The house was surrounded by a ring of wild blackberries -- "clothed in berries" -- which grew like weeds and provided a sweet harvest in the Fall. It's an apt metaphor for her handspinning business. |
